I am a Research Fellow at the University of Pisa and a member of the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Laboratory (KDD Lab), a joint research initiative of the ISTI Institute of CNR, the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa, and Scuola Normale Superiore.
My research focuses on explainable AI for sequential data, particularly on interpreting black-box models for univariate and multivariate time series. I am currently involved in the MIMOSA project, which aims to extract interpretable and ethically responsible predictive models by leveraging advanced techniques such as Deep Learning, Evolutionary Algorithms, and Quantum-Inspired Machine Learning. I have active international collaborations in the field of interpretable machine learning and contribute to several European-funded projects, including SoBigData++ and HumanE-AI-Net, where I work on the development of transparent and human-centered AI systems.
I received my Ph.D. in Data Science from Scuola Normale Superiore in 2024. I hold an M.S. in Data Science (2020) from the University of Pisa and a B.S. in Economics and Management (2017) from the University of Padua.
